sebestyen2Our family winery that was established in 1998 can be found in the Szekszárd wine region that has one of the best climatic conditions among the wine regions of Hungary. Wine making on this region roots back to Roman times. The region has many different vine cultivars and as the old saying reflects: „Varietas delectat” – Variety delights. Both white and red wine grape varieties, typically Hungarian ones and well known international ones grow well in this region.
This variety can be experienced in our wines, too: besides our variety true wines the Italian Riesling, Kadarka, Kékfrankos and Zweigelt we would like to introduce the variety of the region through our own wine called Icze, our Bull’s blood and the top quality wine of our winery called Grádus.

sebestyen1With continuously increasing the acreage of our areas we have been growing wine since 2007 on 7,5 ha – with a strict yield limitation system – and since 2007 we purchase well sorted grape from 8-10 ha. Until the harvest that is made by hand we thin the clusters several times, so in the end we get the best quality grape ready for harvest. Wine making is also done with special care. During fermentation we mix the traditional methods with modern technologies. During the aging process afterwards we use old and new oak barrels. The wine resulted from the aging process is being bottled in one lot so we can guarantee that all bottles from one particular lot has the same quality.

In 2006 we made 60.000 bottles of wine.
